SUPERCARD DS(ONE) REALTIME SAVE

NDS RealTime Save

The ONLY one which support RealTime Save. Save & Load Anytime, Anywhere, Anyway. Only DSONE has this function.

Here list below will instruduce how to use this powful function:
The request of using RealTime Save function:
1. DSONE OS v3.0 and Up
2. Should be run in patch mode. And select the “Real Time Save” option.
3. How to enable RealTime Save function:
Click “SET PATCH” from File Information window or press hotkey L+X

Select “Enable Patch” and “Real Time Save” option.


Hotkey for RealTime Save function in the game:
L+R+UP+SELECT
How to use RealTime Save function in the game:
1. Enable the RealTime Save function.
Note: The first time to run a game with RealTime Save function need more time to load. Because sysem need time to create a RealTime Save file.
2. Press Hotkey L+R+UP+SELECT to enter RealTime Save menu
Note: recommend PAUSE the game first and then enter RealTime Save menu


3. Select SAVE or LOAD the game.
Note: If there is a noise after loading, please PAUSE and RESUME to avoid it.

This is great news. :) Real time save is a major advancement in slot 1 technology. I predicted months ago that the Supercard team would be the first to support such a feature.

what about verison 2 u know the one without schd support we can't use this what a bumper

The RTS feature will be available for all DS One versions, including the original DS One and DS One SDHC.

OS v3.0 includes FOUR dream functions:
1. RealTime Save (exclusive). The ONLY one which supports RealTime Save.
2. RealTime Cheat Code. Can turn ON/OFF in the game at anytime.
3. RealTime Game Guide (exclusive). Can switch in Game Guide screen and game playing screen.
4. Multi-save (exclusive). Can support multiple save files for a single game.

Whats new?
1. Added Real Time Save function.

Too bad my DS is currently charging, I can't test out the new RTS feature. Though I've heard it takes a couple of seconds for the RTS and it consumes 5mb of space?

Anybody have any thoughts or comments?

I think RTS is a great idea. Supercard team are the first to implement this feature for DS games. I'm sure other slot 1 card brands will have this feature eventually. It was a must have feature for GBA games. I think it will be a must have feature for DS games too. I can think of at least a few games that would benefit from this starting with Lost Magic, games that are fun and challenging yet have terrible checkpoints. I hate having to go back to the same checkpoint over and over again.

It will consume 5 Mbit not 5 Mbyte so that is only a 625K file.  It takes a little longer the first time the file is created.

Will slot 2 get this eventually?  ???

I doubt it. Maybe?

I was wrong. RTS creates a 5MB file.  The SC website posted 5M and that reads 5Mbit to me.  I guess it makes sense RTS would need to backup all 4MB of DS RAM plus some registers and stuff.

I can tell you RTS does not work with every game I've tested. Sometimes there are minor sound or screen glitches. Sometimes it will crash.  It depends on the game. Castlevania DoS worked and COD4 didn't.  Also it takes about 20 seconds to create a save point and about 5 seconds to restore using my Kingston 2GB microSD (Japan).

I got COD4 to work sometimes by going into the menu first.

ive added a RTS section on the sccheats wiki if you would like to add what games are working or not
save size & RTS list

im going to get it filled in in the next few days cause ive only got the first 100 & the last 100 done so far

hmmmm even if it IS 5Mb saves then surely for multiple saving and using a SDHC card it would a) be worth it and b) if you have a massive card then 5mb is nothing  ;D
