hi there!

i'm getting a though time trying to make MOTHER 3 work on my gameboy micro with a supercard sd with the latest firmware. though this problem extends to all 256mbits roms i've tried.

it's a 256mbit game (32MB) with a 512kbit save type (or so i think).

if i enable save. it works, though it doesn't really save at all.

if i enable real time save and reset, it doesn't load at all (white screen).

i've tried to trim the rom, but it's impossible as it doesn't have 00s or FFs at the end.

any idea?

thank you so much.

There's some garbage at the end... look for the big block of FFs up a few hundred K from the end and trim from that to the end.

And it has a 64k save, which means you only need to enable saver, not more saver.

Firmware versioning: Get a Passcard 3, a SuperKey, or a slot-1 flashkit. Then it doesn't matter which firmware you have.

Hi there.
I got the same problem with mother 3.
You are talking about FFs- I guess these are files wich are in the rom - right?? So what do I need to open the rom? Please help - I was waiting so long for this game

It`s me again. Now I got a Hex Editor and cut off all ffs at the end. With my Hex Editor I can`t save the new file as a gba-file...so what should I do??

If you don't know how to trim files with a hex editor, don't bother or learn how.

Tried using the power down save cycle? I use it for Rivera, since I don't know a thing about the technical stuff you need to do to get it working.
If each mistake being made is a new one, then progress is being made.

Won't work. When you try to save, it says the game cannot be saved.
